FC Cincinnati
2021 Marketing Campaign Look
When designing the 2021 marketing campaign look, we knew that we really wanted to push our graphics to another level and do something that we had never seen before. We wanted to create a sense of drama and motion while alluding to the architectural and LED lit fins that make TQL stadium one-of-a-kind.
2020 Bold Kit Jersey Teases
Before each kit launch, FCC puts out a series of teases on social media to build excitement for the launch. This was one of our first times utilizing the strategy of letting the photo do the heavy lifting and really blurring the lines between what is a “graphic” and what is an “image”.
original. good. black owned. drop
I had the pleasure of getting to work closely with the business owners of Originalitees, BlaCk Owned, and GO(O)D Co. Apparel, Rooted Creative Agency, MLS, and FCC’s consumer products department to bring this special program to life. I created the logo and graphic look for the launch. We wanted this project to stand apart from our 2021 marketing campaign look, but also have it clearly feel FCC. The look also ties back to FCC’s ONE initiative. .
2020 Return to Play Graphics
Below are graphics that we created to announce the return to regular season games. Because of the unpredictable nature of the 2020 Season due to COVID-19, we had to be nimble and adapt our look for many different circumstances. Our 2020 look and feel was based strongly on using a grid and displaying both civic and FCC pride.
2020 Heritage Link Kit Launch Promotional Poster
For our 2020 Heritage Kit launch, we held an Oktoberfest themed event at Braxton as a celebration of Cincinnati’s rich German history which was the inspiration for the kit’s pattern. The poster design was a modern take on Art Deco beer advertisements. The promotional graphics showed a generic kit as a tease. On launch day the more detailed version of the poster was released.
2019 Noche Latina Logo + Branding
I wanted to create a logo that was inspired by Hispanic tiles and colors, but still have elements that were distinctly FCC. To help achieve this look, I created a custom logo lockup that’s base was the club’s typeface, DIN, so that it would work with the rest of our graphics but still feel special and unique. The elements used to create the crest could also be removed and used individually as elements across the different collateral for the event.
